They are flats but have nice arch support and I like that they have wide sizes. I got these and the others (sparkley butterflies) on sale. I don't think they are $50 shoes but if you can get them on sale for $20 or so you'll be thrilled with these high quality shoes. I do think they run about a half size small so order up.
